VENICE - Filipino film "The Woman Who Left", a black and white revenge tale from director Lav Diaz, won the top Golden Lion prize at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday. Director Lav Diaz holds the Golden Lion award for Best Film for the movie "The Woman Who Left" during the awards ceremony of the 73rd Venice Film Festival on Sept 10, 2016. Best Actor went to Argentina's Oscar Martinez for his portrayal of a cynical Nobel Prize-winning author in comedy "The Distinguished Citizen", while Best Actress was snapped up by Emma Stone for her depiction of a love-struck actress in US musical "La La Land".
